Marie Curie
Although Marie Curie showed that she cared for her experiments, this ultimately led to her death. She could not publicly admit that he experiments with radiation were making her sick because she wanted to keep working on the experiments. Her scientific integrity also left her poor because she believed that scientific research belonged to everyone. This left companies able to sell radium for $100,000 per gram, making it so Marie could not even afford the element she discovered.
Pierre Curie
In his childhood, Pierre Curie showed to have intense concentration but was easily distracted. This trait also shows when he abandons his research with crystallography in order to help Marie with hers. There isn't anything wrong with helping, however, his research was much more studied and Pierre already had success in this field and was thus risky to go to another field of research.
